Jay will share the stories of some colorful characters who called the Santa Cruz Mountains home.
Jay Topping has had a lifelong passion for history. He is especially interested in the history of Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Santa Clara Counties. He consults archival materials in order to present history lectures on a variety of topics to various societies and organizations. Jay is a member of the Scotts Valley Historical Society, serving as the Society’s lead historian. He also serves on the Society board. Jay is currently writing a book about Hiram Scott’s life.
