Tuesday, January 6th, 4-5 pm. We'll discuss Plainsong by Kent Haruf, a novel that weaves different people's life stories, where loneliness and need are transformed into nourishing bonds.
Tuesday, February 3rd (coincidentally, my birthday!), 4-5 pm. We'll discuss The Road Home by Rose Tremain, a novel about the immigrant experience in the UK.
Tuesday, March 3rd, 4-5 pm. We'll discuss Pachinko by Min Jin Lee, an epic historical saga about 4 generations of a Korean family in Korea and Japan.
Tuesday, April 7th, 4-5 pm. We'll discuss Under the Wide and Starry Sky by Nancy Horan, a novel about Robert Louis Stevenson's love story with his wife.
Tuesday, May 5th, 4-5 pm. We'll discuss Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. The novel recounts the story of a young Nigerian woman, Ifemelu, who emigrates to the United States to attend a university.
