Turn forgotten or broken jewelry into something new, and celebrate Earth Day by melding creativity with sustainability.
Join local artist Julia Townsend for a hands-on workshop where you’ll create original jewelry from repurposed materials. Bring a few pieces from home to swap or reinvent that are ready for an upgrade. You will be invited to fix, enhance, and redesign jewelry components to create something new and fabulous. Julia will begin with an introduction to the principles of redesign, then guide you through deconstructing your existing pieces and reassembling them into something new.
In this 3-hour session, each participant can expect to learn basic jewelry making techniques and come away with a couple of unique pieces to wear. Tools and supplemental materials will be provided. Registration is required.
