Kiss-A-Dilla Storytime with Sarah Diaz-Bastin

Join author Sarah Diaz-Bastin for a special storytime featuring her new book, Kiss-A Dilla, and enjoy making (and eating!) a quesadilla of your own after the story!

Celebrate Latin American Heritage Month with Kiss-A-Dilla!, a lyrical Spanglish picture book about a big kid learning to navigate impatience and growing independence, who may or may not be ready to give up on the magic of mama’s kisses. Through a relatable quesadilla-fueled meltdown, the story explores big feelings, helping behavior, and parenting with humor and grace.

About the author:
Sarah Diaz-Bastin is a Santa Cruz County mother, small business owner, and children’s book author and illustrator. Her storytelling centers on family connection, emotional growth, and culturally-rooted everyday moments.
