Community RoomThis session covers the pressure canning process, from preparation to storage, with a focus on how it fits into a home kitchen.
Designed for adults getting started with pressure canning or looking to build on what they already know, the class provides a basic understanding of the method. Topics include why it is used for low-acid foods, how the equipment works, and the process from preparing jars to cooling and storage.
The session is demonstration and discussion-based, connecting food preservation skills to everyday meals and pantry use. The class includes a guidebook for reference and concludes with a tasting of previously pressure-canned foods.
Taught by Raven Ridge Homestead.
