Community Ofrenda - Día de los Muertos

A community ofrenda will be on display for Día de los Muertos starting today, and the community is invited to contribute items.

Día de los Muertos is typically celebrated on the 1st and 2nd of November in Mexican culture (Sunday, November 1–Monday, Nov 2, 2026). Different versions of this tradition can be seen across parts of Latin America with some variation. Our Felton Library community ofrenda will be on display through the first two weeks of November, to give our community time to collect any items they wish to retireve.

Please do not leave perishble items on the ofrenda. If using photographs, we suggest bringing a photocopy and not an original--the library is not responsible for lost or missing items left on the ofrenda. Our staff is happy to make a photocopy of your precious original photo, if you choose. If you would like to pick up items after Día de los Muertos (the display comes down by November 17th), please label them with your name and contact phone number or email on the back.
