Tech Talks: Data Privacy Strategies (Apple)

Use settings and habits to reduce your data footprint.

Every app, search, and swipe leaves a trace. In this workshop, we'll walk through practical steps for limiting the exposure of your personal information.

We'll cover:

• Why privacy matters and passive vs. active data collection
• Device settings that limit ambient tracking: location settings, ad personalization, and app permissions for location, camera, and microphone
• Behavioral changes that protect you from active data collection, including using separate email identities, virtual private networks and privacy search engines

Whether you're looking to lock down your settings or rethink your everyday digital habits, you'll leave with steps to improve your data privacy.
