Join us at the Felton Library after dark for an astronomy presentation and a star party!
Explore the cosmos with members of the Santa Cruz Astronomy Club, Jim Bahn and Wolf Witt, for a presentation and Q & A followed by a Star Party! Telescopes will be set up outdoors (be prepared to walk into either the parking lot or Nature Discovery Park- dress for the weather, and bring a flashlight or lantern, if you have one!). If the night is cloudy, we shall enjoy a virtual Star Party indoors. Bring your questions about astronomy and your questions about telescopes, as well as your sense of wonder! Refreshments provided.
Recommended for ages 8-adult.
Star Party Etiquette: Please leave LED light-up shoes at home and refrain from using white light flashlights (we will have some red duct tape to cover white lights, though, if needed, and please keep your phones in your pocket as much as possible). A dark sky will help us us view celestial bodies!
