Tales to Tails is a literacy program designed to help children improve their reading skills by providing them the opportunity to read to certified therapy dogs.

Programs like Tales to Tails have been implemented nationally in both libraries and schools and have proven to be extremely effective in increasing the self-confidence and reading abilities of the participants. Call in at 831-427-7713 to make a 20-minute appointment at the Scotts Valley branch at either 3pm, 3:20pm or 3:40pm on the fourth Wednesday of every month. We and our furry friends look forward to seeing you there!
