The Friends of the Scotts Valley Library present a book-to-movie event: The Cider House Rules. Read the book by John Irving before attending our January 10th screening of the movie (PG-13).
We will have a discussion afterwards. The movie & book explore issues surrounding control of women’s reproductive health. We’ll also hear from a speaker from The Santa Cruz Women’s Health Center. Yes, popcorn will be available!
You are welcome to attend the movie, enjoy some popcorn and be part of the discussion even if you did not have time to read the book.
The Friends have purchased a few copies of the book, The Cider House Rules, to share with readers. Find them on our Friend’s Corner shelves near the patrons' book holds area. Borrow a copy, read it, and then return it to the shelf.
