Social isolation affects the physical and emotional health of people of all ages. It can affect one's health in a myriad of ways. Developing and keeping friends is the focus of a 3 part series offered by the Friends of the Aptos Library this Winter.
January 10--The first workshop will be presented by Aptos' own Dr. Maureen Cahill, who will lead a discussion of the impact of social isolation on one's physical health.
February 7—The second will be led by 2nd District Supervisor Kim DeSerpa, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who has had vast experience with the impact of social isolation on emotional health.
March 7--Rounding out the series will be a lively discussion led by transformational coach Kara Hopkins on forging friendships as adults, a skill we can all use.
