Sewing Machine Basics

Bring your sewing machine and build confidence using it as you learn the basics, explore its features, and practice sewing.

Bring your sewing machine and learn how to use it in this hands-on, beginner-friendly class! We’ll go over sewing machine basics and help you get more comfortable with your machine, including learning about its features and how to operate it.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine, along with the power cord and foot pedal. If you don’t have a machine, you’re welcome to use one of the instructor’s. Extra machines will also be available in case anyone has trouble with their own machine.

The instructor will provide thread, needles, fabric scraps, and other basic supplies. When registering, please indicate whether you’ll be bringing your own sewing machine. No previous sewing experience is required.
