Pages and Popcorn: Nomadland

The Friends of the La Selva Beach Library invite you to a free book-to-movie community event.

We will be featuring Nomadland, the Oscar winning adaptation of Jessica Bruder’s Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century.

If you have time before the event, pick up a copy of the book and experience the story first. Several copies will be available on the Friends shelves near the self-checkout area.

Join us Saturday, September 26, from 1:00 to 4:00pm for the screening of the film, some popcorn, and a post-film discussion led by Logan Walker.

Mr. Walker is a Director of Programming for the Santa Cruz Film Festival and a lecturer in film studies at UCSC and San Jose University. He has included Nomadland as part of his lecture series: American Cinema 1960 to the Present.
