Join us at the Downtown Library and enjoy free jazz music by local musicians.
In memory of her husband, bassist and jazz singer, Betty N. has created the William H. Nadeau Memorial Fund promoting and rewarding excellence in jazz performance. In partnering with the library, the memorial fund is able to bring the wonderful sounds of live jazz music to the community. This program will run on the first Friday of every month for the rest of the year.
On Friday, September 5, booked are Scotty Wright, Jazz Voice, Jon Dryden, piano, Dan Robbins, bass, Jason Lewis, drums,
and Matthew Simon playing two or three trumpet solos. Once again, these are all highly professional
musicians who will adjust their playing to the library conference room. Scotty Wright is currently residing in Florida and
Matthew Simon is an award-winning professor from Barcelona, Spain. Scotty and Matthew will be in Santa Cruz for
the Jazz Society benefit at Kuumbwa on Sunday, September 7th along with Jon Dryden.
